Mohannad, co-founder of Tidal Impact Holdings and based in Los Angeles, has spent over 20 years in financial services, media, technology, and venture capital. Recognized for his innovative approach to utilizing business and capital for systemic change, he has led and advised companies globally across diverse sectors. Starting his career with BCA, he later helped grow Zawya.com, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters. He then joined Plug and Play Tech Center and founded NXT, advising and investing in startups. In 2017, he cofounded E11 Capital and later Tidal Impact, focusing on impact investment and management. An advocate for social justice, he supports the Arab Film & Media Institute and Localized, promoting education and diversity. Mohannad holds degrees in Economics and Political Science from Concordia University.
Igniting social change, creating brands, campaigns and businesses with soul is Sian’s passion. Multi-award winner, including Female Marketer of the Year, CEW Achiever Award, Entrepreneur of the Year and British Inventor of the Year; Sian is a serial entrepreneur with a varied background in advertising, Michelin Star restaurants , film production and brand creation design agencies. In 2016 Sian co-founded A Plastic Planet; is a pro-business, pro-science, pro-solutions organisation with a single goal - to ignite and inspire the world to turn off the plastic tap. In 2023 A Plastic Planet launched the world's first global solutions platform -PlasticFree - empowering creatives and brands to design plastic out at source.
Joe is a climate technology and decarbonization investment professional with broad experience across sectors, stages, and products. From 2019 through 2021 he led climate tech and sustainability investing at ZX Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of brewing giant AB InBev, where he was instrumental in completing AB InBev's largest venture investment in sustainability, EverGrain. Prior to ZX Ventures, he was a Managing Director at FullCycle Climate Partners, a climate tech growth equity and infrastructure investment firm that backs scalable solutions targeting short-lived climate pollutants. Joe began his career as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch before making stops at MidOcean Partners (middle market PE) and SAC Capital Advisors (large cap long/short HF). Since leaving AB InBev in late 2021, he has continued to advise and invest in venture and growth stage climate tech businesses through Cannonade Capital, his fundless financial sponsor.
Nawar Alsaadi is the CEO and Founder of Kanata Advisors, a sustainable fintech advisory firm based in Toronto, Canada. Prior to founding Kanata, Nawar held several senior ESG-related positions, including Chief Impact Officer at ScopeFour Capital, Senior Portfolio Manager for ESG Investing at Canada Post Pension Plan, and Director of ESG Insights at NEI Investments, among other executive and advisory roles.
Nawar holds a Master of Business Administration from the Questrom School of Business (Boston University). Additionally, he holds certifications in CFA ESG and CFA Climate, a Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) from Concordia University, and an FSA Credential from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). He is also the author of five books and has been recognized as a 'Top Corporate Sustainability Voice' on LinkedIn.
